The Dances

We celebrated Lillian’s 4 month birthday yesterday by cleaning the house. Well, I say “we” but it was mostly Christian with Lillian strapped to his chest in a baby carrier. I’m still sick enough with a cold that I’m basically useless. It was a perfect Saturday. The weather was beautiful, finally reaching the upper 70’s for the first time in weeks. All that spring cleaning can be tough though. It wore Lilly out.

All in all it’s been a very full week for us…

• Big stressful presentations for Christian at work.
• Finding out that Jason, Christian’s brother, had suffered a “scratch” in small arms fire in Iraq… who knows what a “scratch” is in the tough guy Army world? It definitely makes you worry.
• Getting the news that family (Christian’s older brother and his family) is moving to the area! Yay! Lilly will have cousins to play with.

Now I think we’re going to celebrate Earth Day by eating trail mix cookies and watching an Inconvenient Truth. It seems like the right sort of day to watch a documentary like that. I think it will be interesting to compare it with the documentary put out a few weeks ago that I saw called The Great Global Warming Swindle.
