The election season yet again is upon us, and Jennifer and I did our duty to ensure that those individuals who best represented our views received our votes. I’m shocked to say that not a single individual that we voted for actually won. What does that say about our views?
I don’t know about Jen, but this year my motto was let the best vowels win. In our senate race George Allen has a total of 5 vowels to James Webb’s paltry 3. Sorry Jimmy, but George trumps you. In our congress district there was an Indian running as an independent. I don’t remember his name, but he had something like 16 letter E’s alone. I could not in good conscience allow such a vowel rich name pass without receiving my endorsement.
Unfortunately in our partisan environment, where mud is slung and dirt is dished, the consonants have won again.
