The Dances

Lilly is growing, growing, growing. I thought I’d list some of her new “skills” and funny things she’s done lately.

• She can count to 3 (#1 is her favorite)
• She uses the signs for colors, rainbow, and can correctly identify and sign red, orange, blue and sometimes green.
• She loves to say “Thank you” and says it all the time just for fun
• She says Yep instead of Yes or Yeah
• She likes to run toward us yelling and signing “Monster!” so that we’ll shriek and sign “scared”
• When we’re holding her, she’ll grab our head with both hands and turn us so that we’re looking right at her and then tell or sign us something (generally she signs “swim” or “run” so that she can watch some swimming or track events from the Olympics… she’s Michael Phelps’ biggest fan).
• Her current food love is pretzels
• She pushed my head into some pillows the other day and said “nap”
• Yesterday she escaped from her crib for the first time
• For the last few days she has refused to sleep during nap time
• She absolutely loves pinching bums especially ones in biker shorts (I don’t know where this came from)
