You know how bad things always happen when you’re cooking something with tomatoes and you aren’t wearing an apron. Well, I made the mother of all messes when I was warming up our frozen chili last night. I was breaking up some of the bigger frozen chili chunks in a sauce pan with a wooden spoon. The spoon slipped and hit the pan just right because the next thing I knew chili was EVERYWHERE. Yes, everywhere. It was all up the front of my cream colored shirt, up my face, in my hair, and in a big streak that ran from the microwave all the way up to the ceiling. Impressive. I have never before made a mess that included the ceiling!

Were you able to get the sauce out of your clothes? I’ve had good luck using dish soap to treat tomato stains.

Mom, sorry, no pictures.
Karla, great idea with the dish soap! I’ll have to try that next time. Luckily I was able to get it out with the normal stain remover.
