The Dances

Taxes are done! The damage… minimal. We’ve finally got things as balanced as is possible. Helps to have a very straight-forward tax situation. No free loans to the federal government here!
Federal taxes = owe $19
State taxes = refund of $164

And in case anyone is interested… I always file online with H&R Block and this year I participated in the Money Crashers Online Tax Filing Giveaway (an Apple iPad). Who knows, I might win.

Growing up… but not out!

Maybe food tastes better upside down?

As a Valentine’s Day treat for Jennifer, I cooked her up a special meal.

• Two roasted Cornish Game Hens with garlic and rosemary,
• Italian seasoned rice,
• Asparagus with sliced almonds and Parmesan cheese
• and as a desert Mango pie with homemade vanilla ice cream.

So after spending most of the day in the kitchen preparing this feast my 3 year old daughter looked at the table… and asked for a sandwich.
